What we do

Victim Support is a community organisation with a network of caring, skilled volunteers across New Zealand.

How can we help?
We offer 24-hour support for people affected by crime or trauma.

Here’s how we can help:
  • Provide immediate support in a crisis
  • Give appropriate information
  • Advise people on their rights
  • Listen and talk
  • Refer to appropriate counselling
  • Assist and support at court trials and hearings
  • Give help to access other specialist support services
  • Provide emergency grants and financial assistance to help deal with, or recover from, experiences
  • Prepare victim impact statements and attend family group or restorative justice conferences
  • Help to regain control and rebuild a life

Our service is free, personal and confidential.
