What we do

We strive to create an environment where parents feel supported to build resilient, positive whānau who live free from abuse and neglect.
Our vision is that no family is left behind, every parent and caregiver has access to the space, support, and tools they need to grow and thrive. With the guidance of our professional team of counsellors and through our free parenting helpline, we help families develop the confidence and skills to become the best version of themselves.

Integrated Parenting Support Service
Parent Help provides a seamless, wrap-around support model that includes:
  • Parenting Helpline: Phone Support Workers Operating 9am–9pm, seven days a week, offering support for all parenting issues.
  • Counselling & Family Therapy: Available face-to-face in Wellington and online nationwide. Professional, services for parents, caregivers, and families.
  • Parenting Education Programmes: Evidence-based courses to strengthen parenting knowledge and skills.
  • One-to-One Parenting Skills Sessions: Practical, tailored support for parents needing specific guidance.
  • Facilitated Group Sessions: Delivered for community agencies, and schools to meet local needs.
  • Information, Advice & Advocacy: Helping families navigate challenges and access the right supports.
  • Self-Referrals Welcome: Parents and caregivers can contact us directly without needing an external referral.
Counselling Hours: By appointment
Wednesday: 9.30am - 4pm
Parent Help offers counselling sessions in
Wellington and online nationwide.
Counselling sessions range from $70.00 to $160.00.
