Our vision is that New Zealand values the well-being of our children above all else.

Our purpose is to ensure that all children and young people are in loving families and communities, where they can be safe, strong, connected and able to flourish.

Our focus is on children and young people:

• who are at significant risk of harm now and into the future as a consequence of their family environment, and/or their own complex needs
• who have offended or may offend in the future.
