What we do

Catholic Social Services is the social outreach agency of the Archdiocese of Wellington. We provide a range of free services to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Our main focus areas are:

• Social Work, short term therapeutic intervention, assessment, with a focus on supporting men through family violence issues
• Seasons for Growth – training professionals to support people through change, grief and loss
• Chaplaincy – providing emotional and spiritual support to patients and whānau in hospitals and to people in prisons
• Support for refugee resettlement
• Responding to poverty and other community needs through projects and partnerships
• Advocating for systemic change of unjust structures.

We welcome volunteers who want to make a difference in their community.
