What we do

Wāhi Mārie is a free service for people who have been sexually assaulted.
we support people that have experienced sexual violence, both recent and historic, with a variety of services including;

• Confidential support and advice with clinicians specialising in sexual harm
• virtual or in person visits to discuss health concerns with a member of the team
• offering visits with a social worker and/or clinician
• referrals to other agencies/health providers as needed, help with lodging ACC claims
• Testing and treatment for STIs
• Provide a Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) within 7 days of an assault

The daytime services, based at 275 Cuba Street, is a team of Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, along with a supporting Kaiāwhina With expertise in sexual harm and trauma. In addition, we have office hours in the Waiarapa.
