Working nationwide, we are specialists in trauma recovery.
Clients come to us for a range of issues they are struggling with.
Our clinical team addresses the unresolved trauma driving those issues and any problematic behaviours they may also be experiencing.
Sessions can be facilitated in-person, online or by phone.

At the heart of Men and Trauma lies a deep understanding of the strength it takes to face life’s challenges. Our story is woven into the landscapes of Aotearoa, where the towering māunga (mountains) stand as symbols of resilience, endurance, and the journey toward healing. These peaks, from Aoraki in the south to Taranaki in the north, remind us that even in the harshest conditions, strength and growth are possible.
Just as the māunga shape the land, so too do life’s struggles shape the people we serve.
Trauma, mental health challenges, and addiction can feel like towering obstacles, yet like those who ascend the highest peaks, with support and guidance, individuals can rise above adversity. Men and Trauma and Trauma Recovery Aotearoa stand together, much like the mountains that anchor this land, providing strength and stability to those on their healing journey.

Music Therapy
This group music therapy programme aims to support trauma-affected adults in experiencing, identifying, processing their emotions, establishing and developing coping techniques, and enhancing their emotional and nervous system regulation.​


Male Child Abuse Therapy programme
This programme is for men who have experienced childhood trauma and who wish to pursue recovery and healing. This 10 week course is aimed at helping you understand your own behaviours, thoughts and feelings and offers ways to manage the effects in your life.
 
Trauma Recovery Aotearoa
​Trauma Recovery Aotearoa is Men and Trauma's New Service and now works with anyone regardless of their gender.
Specialist Male Services will continue under Men and Trauma NZ.
